Churches Channel of Hope

This event was at Kenosis on the 30 April 2010. It was attended by members of churches that the Gender and HIV/AIDS (GHA) desk is currently working this year. The workshop covered the following: our attitude towards HIV and AIDS, basic facts about HIV and AIDS, how HIV destroys the immune system. We also looked at the ways of transmission , treatment options as well as the second focus on Christian response to HIV and AIDS pandemic which included strategic planning for HIV and AIDS- related projects in their churches.

The purpose of the workshop was to assist churches in their response to HIV and AIDS as well as Gender issues through sensitising, mobilising and networking. Our vision as GHA is to have a caring Christian community ministering reconciliation and hope to people infected and affected by HIV. The people we are taking through the workshop one expected to start HIV and AIDS related projects in their churches and PACSA accompanies.
